Notes: After being dormant for over a year, Hot Shots released this edition to Diamond Distributing and to selected dealers in mid January 2001. Collectors club members who had placed orders with Hots Shots for this edition may be pleased to learn that they may be filled. On the other hand if you already bought the cards elsewhere, you may not be pleased. Regardless, Hot Shots is filling Collectors Club orders. Images on the cards are similar in content to Hot Shots '98 although pack design and backgrounds changed to a flame design. Nine card groups form a puzzle on the back. Parallel cards are back, inserted in packs at roughly one to a pack. Parallel cards are identifed by a printed Hot Shots logo in the lower right-hand corner. The Millenium Girls subset has parallel cards. No transparencies or jumbos. Box coallation was very good, three consecutive number boxes I opened formed a complete set, including the autograph card and all parallel cards. Boxes averaged slightly better than two common sets to a box. Box numbering was either sloppy or incorrect, I have two sets of boxes with the same number. Limited distribution made most buyers unaware of the sets release, cards were released to a sluggish market at about the same time Playboy's Centerfolds of the Century was shipped.
