At a Rhode Island nursing home, five year old Oscar
the cat has the uncanny ability to detect when patients
are about to die. The kitty rarely spends any time with
patients except those with just hours to live. If kept
outside the dying patients' room, Oscar will scratch at
the door trying to get in. Once in the room he will
stretch out beside the patient and remain there as if
he's keeping vigil.

A study by Brown University has shown that in the
years since Oscar has displayed this gift, he has rarely
erred. His ability has proven itself in at least 50 cases.
