Arrow Norman Rockwell ~ VIDEO

Norman Rockwell (1894 - 1978) was enormously productive, having created more than 4,000 pieces of art work in his lifetime. His unique view of Americana and sense of humor which he brought to his paintings are what make him one of the greatest American artists. The very last image of the video shows Rockwell doing a "triple self-portrait". The soundtrack is a clip from "All The Cats Join In" by Benny Goodman, another American original.

Norman Rockwell started working with the Saturday Evening Post in 1916, when he was 22 years old. He worked with them for 47 years! During that time he produced an amazing 323 cover illustrations. That's pretty impressive.

I really love Norman Rockwell's work. It's a reminder that life can be much less complicated. I remember as a kid we sold those pillar candles that displayed those Saturday Evening Post covers for school. There has always been something very "collectible" about his work; you just want ALL of them. That's why I'm really glad that they came out with this set. It's a good start on that 323! :-D
