News America at War: D-Day/Band of Brothers Ultimate Edition - iCardz

• Complete set of America at War: D-Day (143 cards).
• Complete set of Band of Brothers (49 cards).
• Deluxe metal binder.
• Two instant win cards (chance to win authentic medals and shoulder flashes from the Second World War)
All 7 authentic Band of Brothers autographs
An original sketch by Ingrid Hardy
• Certificate of Authenticity
• Numbered /100

At what breaks down to $50 a piece for the autographs and sketch, this is a steal.

The sketches are seldom seen on the secondary market and sell for $80+ each. Some of the autographs are very hard to find and I can not set a price on the Amos "Buck" Taylor since it has never shown up on the market (In fact, I know of only two people who own one of these cards).

iCardz has done something really special with this series that honors the Greatest Generation, and specifically, the Band of Brothers. Now, they have created this edition so that collectors can enjoy the complete set for a great price.

This set is available now from americaatwarcards.com

This is a fantastic opportunity to own the complete set and I am of the mind that the more we support iCardz with this series, the more likely they will release The Pacific, and more.

Disclaimer: I do not work for iCardz although my enthusiasm for this series may make it sound like I do.
Regarding this series, please ask questions and I will try my best to answer.

iCardz is in the process of updating the website.

You should be able to complete checkout now: lestweforgetcardsus.com

You will not be charged until the sets are ready to ship sometime in May

A couple of thumbnails of 2 sketches in this set. Nice to see there will be major characters from the Band of Brothers such as Carwood Lipton. I believe there is a Shifty Powers sketch in there as well.

Once again, gorgeous art by Ingrid Hardy.

Nicnac, please, please share what you do get! I honestly have not been much into sketch cards, mainly I think because I am not really into comics and they seem to be dominated by them, but I really love seeing this type of material being done and brining the sketch card concept into it. It seems much more like an approach to 'fine art' in the style and presentation. Very cool set, good luck on your acquisition, I hope you get a great one!

There are not many things card wise that I would spend $400 on to acquire, but this would be an exception, that is if I had $400 to spare!

Thanks for keeping us updated NicNac on all of the news on these cards...

Mike.

Mike.
You're welcome. As I said on another forum, if you can spend money on autographs of actors, you can spend it on autographs of the men who jumped before D-Day and fought all the way into Germany

By the way, iCardz has listed these sets on eBay, if you have bucks to spend, want bucks, have coupons, or use a rebate dealie...

A collector received his set already (lucky dog being in Canada where iCardz is based!) and got this sketch:

Private Paul E. Lamoureux (19 May 1925 – 15 January 2005)

This is the photo the sketch is based on

These are his Military Awards

This was him in 2001

Someone on another forum pulled the holy grail of sketches from this series, Major Winters himself.

I received my set a month or so back and pulled a sketch of Private Joseph Lesniewski. I was wondering if Nicnac had any information on him? Thanks!
Aside from a short article on Wikipedia, which has the photo that your sketch is based on, I found this picture which contains a treasure trove of BoB vets:

(Sitting L-R): William Guarnere; Edward "Babe" Heffron; Lynn "Buck" Compton; William C. Maynard; Philip P. Perugini (holding the bucket?); Salvatore Frank Bellino; and Donald G. Malarkey.

(Standing, L-R): Antonio Garcia; Joseph A. Lesniewski ; Roderick G. Bain; John W. Martin; Frank J. Soboleski; Herbert J. Suerth; Paul C. Rogers; and Lester A. Hashey.

(Standing at the top): Forrest L. Guth and Darrell "Shifty" Powers.

This is pretty cool, an interview with him for World War II magazine:

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this...

I've been asked to create 20 fully painted chase cards for the re-release of the Band of Brothers set. Completely painted in acrylic, there will be a few scenes, a few objects, and a few people. Below is one sample of what I'll be painting - the cards will be a bit brighter in hand, as acrylics can be tricky to scan. I hope you will like them...!
