Artist ARTIST Profile: Linda Wicker

Linda Wicker, ACEO Artist

Original ACEO Cards
(Click any card to visit my ACEO album in my Vault)

My name is Linda Wicker, and I am a self-taught, experimental artist who is forever learning and trying new things. I havenít found my 'specialty' yet, and often never have a clue what I am about to create when I put paint to paper. A lot of my artwork seems to just fall out of the brush ; )

While I do a wide range of sizes, I am most at home with the ACEO. As a single stay at home mom with kids underfoot, ACEO started out as simply a convenient way to pacify my creative desires without affecting my mommy time. I could afford the supplies, I had space to store them, and I could easily get them out and put them away as needed.

I eventually began showing them to other people who encouraged me to sell them on ebay. When my first ACEO sold, I was hooked! It gave me such an awesome feeling to know someone out there loved my humble little works of art.

While I have been sharing, selling, and even doing several commissions over the years, I have only recently made the concrete decision to start taking my artwork more seriously, trying to improve, and finally allowing myself to be the artist I feel I was intended to be.

Some of the medium I have worked with include - Watercolor, Acrylic, Oils, Chalk, Pencil, Pen, Enamel, Sand, Wood, Pyrography, Gouache, and even Dryer Lint!

I am new at the website and technical side of promoting, but here are a few places my work can be found.

I offer my ACEO cards for sale on eBay

You can visit my personal card Vaults here on The Trading Card Museum, HERE

I also list on TradingCardAuctions.com (also known as theartofACEO.com), and you can visit my own Store HERE, or by clicking my logo card below.

Thank you so much for checking me out, I hope you become a fan and stop by often to see more from me.

Welcome to TheTradingCardMuseum Linda!

I love your cards with the animal faces, they are really exquisite. I saw your 1st ACEO card on Facebook too, really nice.

Very much enjoy what I have seen so far and best of luck with your sales on TCA too! I've got my eye on that Large Mouth Bass myself.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I can't wait to load up my albums here with some of my past ACEO. I was looking through them yesterday and even amazed myself with the variety of subjects lol.. everything from light cartoony sense of humor, to very detailed semi-realistic.

Feel free to add any of my art to your collection

Here is a picture of my very first ACEO card, called ...Spoonin,

Well, see, now you have a place not only for the world to peruse your work, but for you own self to keep it all for reference too.

Remember you can always edit your 1st post as you desire to update your info and show off what you want, and there are no limitations as to how many cards you can keep in your personal Vaults too. The 1st post is primarily your Artist Profile, and the rest of the posts are updates as you wish and chit-chat and conversation by others, like me here now

I'm just getting groovy with my own profile finally too, so take your time and go at your own pace.

Can't wait to see what else you've been hiding after seeing that pumpkin & mouse painting/card!

Linda, your work is super great! Curious, what is the material you create the pyrography cards on? I know it must be wood of some sort, is it something special?

I do pyrography on any heavy stock paper, like regular ACEO cards, as well as craft wood, which is a little thicker than I like, and my newest material is a very thin (real) birch wood that is backed with paper to help prevent splitting. This is a tad more expensive, but I absolutely love it!

ThumbYes :)

I like your regular work Linda!!! Alot of people can take photos, although a creative eye always helps there. I guess I'm just attracted to texture. You can't get texture in a photograph. I think your a wonderful artist. *HUGS*
