Sell Sheet Collectors

Just wondering if there are any other Sell Sheet collectors out there.

I've been collecting Sell Sheets for around 15 years and have quite a few, but it's gotten to stage where i just can't find anymore,it's probably the fact that i live on the other side of the planet (Australia).

I know some company's have decided to not print hard copy's anymore, but how do you know which was the last printed one and the first digital one?.

Every time i get my new NSU i look at the adds in the magazine, then add the titles i don't have to my wants list.

I'm listing a wants list below of most of the major companys at the moment, and adding to it over time.
If anyone knows of a Sell Sheet that was not made for that particular set please let me know and i'll take it off the list.

Titles that are in Red, are trades in progress.

They are tough to find. Wish the manufacturers would go back to inserting a sheet in the box. Wacky Packages reissues had them.

Do you have a master checklist of your collection?

Hi Eric,

I do have a master list, but its all in written form, it's going to be a mammoth effort to catalog all the sheets into digital information, i think about doing it all the time but keep putting it off.

Maybe that can be my challenge for this year.

Hey Rob,
I collect sell sheets quite a bit. I have several hundred in our collection now, but for the most part have not gone through them completly. I have NS and Adult sheets and really want to give the sell sheets their own home here on TTCM someplace.

I'm glad to know I am not the only one who collects these, I was begining to wonder

Joey

I think you posted it in the right place Rob, there seems to be much more in the way of NS in our collection than anything else. (Though more of the HTF ones seems to be in the Adult, at least in our collection). I will probably set up areas in each of the major categories for the sheets, and then bring them together into one 'Wing'. I think I will even setup SS.tradingcardmuseum.com so you will be able to get there direct.

Eric, oh if there were only cloning capabilities and assistants, but all in due time, I am still trying to get my studio assistant up to par...I am a nut about certain things

I tend to have all the Inkworks and Rittenhouse ones so my wants would be more in the Topps, Artbox, Breygent etc line.

Thats why i listed Inkworks and Rittenhouse first, they seem to be the easier ones to get, having said that i still need quite a few Rittenhouse ones.
They must have better wholsalers and distributors over there in the UK because every time i ask them if they have any Sell Sheets,i get a blunt "NO,they don't make Sell Sheets anymore" and i've been getting that answer for years.

Ive added a couple more companys to the List above.

Rob i need to look closer at your list of wants but i see various sets there that i know did not have a sell sheet made for them.

It is not easier to get the sheets in the UK by the way, a lot of the sheets i have i had to buy from America.

Hi Wolfie,

I just added the rest of the list, tryed to cut and paste thats why it looks funny.
Could you please let me know which sets did not come out with Sell Sheets so i can take them off the list.

So even the Card Companys in England make it hard to get Sell Sheets like, Cornerstone, Cards Inc, Strickly Ink, CMA.

By the way folks, we do have an area in the NS Gallery for Sell Sheets. It is listed under NS Peripheral (need a better descriptive word I think).

http://tradingcardspace.com/gallery/...s.php?album=26

I am working on all kinds of stuff this weekend for TTCM, including the Sell Sheets areas. We are doing quite a bit of regrouping here, hence which is why you have seen less of us online. Don't fret my card loving friends....great things are happening and coming

Have a great snowy day!

I never really got into sell sheets. I've had tons over the years, but either gave them away or disposed of them. At one time, I used to get one "folded" sell sheet of every new card issue from Inkworks. I usually just sent them to people that I knew collected sell sheets when we did a trade...

Looking back, maybe I should have hung onto them.

Another related category is Checklist sheets. These were 8 1/2 x 11" sheets showing the content of a card issue that the manufacturer made. I came across some in one of my piles of things are Checklists from Cardz for Tales From The Crypt and The Flintstones. I think I have one somewhere of Impels first Star Trek set as well. I have seen that one sell for fairly big dollars on Ebay.

I scanned the Tales From the Crypt sheet for your information and viewing pleasure:

You can look at the image in the library, click on it, to make the full sheet legable.

Wow,thats a massive scan, i had to sit back 5 feet to read it.

Thanks Mike, you post up one sell sheet....and its one that i need.

I have a few Checklist sheets as well, i'll scan and put in my vault, not sure how to add them to the area Joey suggested.

Rob i am fairly sure that Cards Inc did not do sell sheets for the ones on your list with the exception of Thunderbirds of which there are two diffrent. One has the Sylvia Anderson autograph listed and the other does not.

I don't think Rittenhouse did one for X-Men 3 either.

Thanks Wolfie,

I just checked my Thunderbirds Sheet and it mentions the Sylvia Anderson autograph, i did'nt realise there were 2 versions.

I can't say i've ever see a sheet for X-Men 3 on ebay, maybe they didnt make one

I spent about five hours yestarday doing data entry, i've finally started making a list of my spare Sell Sheets, finnish one box, got 2 more to go, got sore back allready.

Yes i,m allways going to make lists of things until i look at the big pile of things and i suddenly lose intrest. This is also the reason why i never get around to selling things on ebay.
